How about the Global Social Benefit Incubator at Santa Clara University? 10th Anniversary is this summer. http://scu.edu/socialbenefit/programs/gsbi/
ReplyDeleteGreat suggestion---I just added it to the post on incubator/accelerators for social entrepreneurs, here: http://bit.ly/s05tu0
ReplyDeleteAlso: Rhode Island Innovation Fellowship, a brand new program, here: http://www.rifoundation.org/innovation
ReplyDeleteThanks Jessica, I have added the Rhode Island Innovation Fellowship to the list.
ReplyDeleteNice. Can we help and add http://www.webiversity.org more at http://www.whymandesign.posterous.com
ReplyDeletePlease also add PresenTense to your list. http://presentense.org/fellowship PresenTense has 12 fellowships in 3 countries and we're looking for 140 new fellows this year. The WCJCC and Global Summer Institute take applicants from around the world. We focus on Jewish social entrepreneurs who have the passion and drive to transform their communities. Thanks Neetal!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the update Alex, the info has been added to the list.
ReplyDelete@traidmarkdotorg, I did not see a social innovation fellowship associated with the links provided.
ReplyDeletePraxis is another program for social entrepreneurs. 12 orgs per year, $100k in cash.

June deadline
The Praxis Accelerator program has been included on the post on incubator/accelerators here: http://bit.ly/s05tu0
ReplyDeleteI would add to the list the Ford Foundation International Fellowships Program (www.fordifp.net). This program supported post-graduate education for local leaders and community activists from marginalized populations in 22 countries around the world. Although the program is ending (members of the final cohorts are beginning their degree programs) it provides a useful model for supporting community leaders and social innovators, beyond the usual suspects.
ReplyDeleteAlan, thanks for the information--I have added it to the list, with a note that the program is concluding.
ReplyDeleteThanks for this very informative list, Neetal. We'd also like to suggest the American India Foundation's William J. Clinton Fellowship for Service in India. AIF's William J. Clinton Fellowship for Service in India provides a select group of young Americans and Indians the opportunity to work with non-governmental organizations and social enterprises for 10 months, in order to accelerate impact for marginalized and underprivileged communities in India. The Fellowship has sent over 250 Fellows to more than 150 high-impact organizations across India. We have 29 fellows in India this year, and you can read more about their experiences here: http://www.aifclintonfellowship.org/blog/
ReplyDeleteAlso, applications will open next week, and are due January 9th for the 2012-2013 cycle!
ReplyDeleteThank you for the information, I have added the AIF fellowship to the list.
ReplyDeleteplease consider adding City Hall Fellows - fellowships to work in and learn about local government for recent college grads. Application deadline varies by city by cohort year, but interested folks can sign up on the website to be notified of new application cycles. www.cityhallfellows.org

ReplyDeleteYou should look at LGT Venture Philanthropy iCats Program, currently beginning the fourth class of fellows.
ReplyDeleteLGT Venture Philanthropy supports social organizations with financial capital, access to networks and intellectual capital. As part of the intellectual capital provision, the iCats Program matches business professionals with temporary positions at social organizations to increase their organizational capacity, thus acting as “impact catalysts”.
